Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Grace Life Center is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Grace Life members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

In our society, time is our number one commodity. Our relationship with God is reflected in how we choose to use our time. As believers, we are called to serve. Think about ways that you can make an impact in our church and in our community. Below, you will find a listing of some of the service areas in Grace Life along with a form where you can get plugged into a ministry in our church or out in our community. WORSHIP

At Grace Life, we joyfully embrace God’s call to minister to him in music. We offer both Traditional and Contemporary styles of worship. The Worship team is composed of faithful people who have a heart for God and a love for music/media. Our Worship Team rehearses each Friday evening (6pm) in preparation for Sunday services. If you have gifted instrumentally, vocally or technically and would like to serve we would love to have meet you.

MEDIA/TECH

In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use digital media as best as possible for kingdom purposes.  All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in audio formats.  We also upload the sermon handouts so that our internet listeners can follow along. We maintain an active Facebook, Twitter feed, and emails for additional church communication.

CHILDREN

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Grace Life holds a children’s church service during the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have a range of creative tools–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons all used to teach our little ones.

FOOD PANTRY

Grace Life Center Food Pantry is an outreach to Prince Georges public to provide free food to those in need. Our Food Pantry currently runs once a month on the last Saturday of the Month from 2pm to 5pm. Grace Life Center members serve as volunteers to pick up the food, sort and organize the food pantry and distribute the food each to our guests.  The Food Pantry is seeking new volunteers ! If you want to help address the problem of hunger in our community, please consider joining our team.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS ASSESSMENT

At Grace Life Center, we believe that everyone has gift – a gift which enables us to be useful in a ministry for the edification of the saints. The  Spiritual Gifts Inventory is a discovery tool that provides you with a personalized analysis. It is not a test, but a simple questionnaire giving you a profile of your God given spiritual gifts. Discovering and exercising your God-given spiritual gifts allows you to experience maximum fulfillment with minimum frustration in your Christian life and ministry. For that reason, we are pleased to introduce you  Spiritual Gifts Inventory! Based on the team- or task-oriented gifts, this questionnaire and analysis will help you identify your God-given spiritual gifts. While there are many spiritual gifts, this evaluation covers the nine task-oriented gifts used in daily life to do the work of Christian ministry. Every Christian has a dominant gift and many possess more than one. Through this analysis, you will find out in which areas you are “less” gifted and will also discover your dominant task-oriented gift. You can then begin to concentrate on further developing your dominant gift as you exercise it in daily life and in your local church ministry.
