What do you do when you pray and pray and yet it seems like you just can’t have a breakthrough? How can you cope with afflictions or difficult situations that just seem to constantly overwhelm you? This Sunday in church, I shared three truths you must remember in the midst of difficult times to give you victory through the hard times. These are three truths that will give you the right attitude so you can soar above every hardship and come out on the other side victorious. These 3 truths are:

 

1.    Remember that when you do not have what you really WANT, that’s when you discover that God is all you really NEED: The enemy’s ultimate goal is to keep you away from your God. Whatever will keep you from serving God – the enemy will bring your way. So we must never ever allow our hardships keep us from serving God. Because the truth is that in life, God is all we really need. When we remember this truth, then that affliction will make us better and not bitter. If we can remember this, that mess you are in will turn into a message. If we can remember this truth, that test you are going through now, will become a testimony. Then shall be fulfilled in your life the promise in Psalms 34:19 – “many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all“.

 

2.   Remember that God will always start from what you HAVE, not what your WANT, to bring you to what you NEED: Therefore in times of lack, in times when you do not seem to have much, in times when you seem to be in a tight spot – stop waiting for what you do not have and start working with what you have. Never let what you don’t have blind you to that which you have. Pull out a sheet of paper right now and make a list of every thing you have! Overlook nothing. Give the Lord a loud shout of praise for what you have, right now. And then get to work, with what you have, rather than waiting and agonizing over what you do not have!

 

3.   Remember that if you offer to God what you HAVE because you trust Him, He will give you MORE than what you NEED: When you use the faith God has given you, you will experience the faithfulness of God! And you do not have to fully understand in other to completely obey! Take what you have – and offer it to God! Use it to bless someone today. Use it to serve in God’s house today – and you’ll see that God will bring to you MORE than what you NEED!

 

Friends, today God is looking for people who will bring themselves as empty vessels so He can fill them with Himself, because in reality, when you discover that you do not have what you want, you’ll discover that God is all you really NEED.

 

 

When you discover that you do not have what you want, you will discover that God is ALL you NEED!
